​Propelled into a colourful void, travelling to the North of Chile is confronting one's senses to vastness, greatness and emptiness. An altered understanding of scale invits to daydream.

 

Colourful palettes are brushed into one's perception whilst confronting our human presence and size. The magnitude of the inconsequential small and immense questions our relevance in apprehending visually such landscape. Too much to embrace at once. The abstraction of the infinity great and minuscule detail brings a distorted experience of distance.

These pictures questions landscape photography ; its scale and ability to capture and grasp such environment. The series is a direct reaction to the surrounding and an attempt to decipher the sheer beauty and vertiginous atmosphere through the segmentation the camera frame suggests .
